32 6. T he document Procedure for Serious Incidents must be available in its entirety the secretariat, to the media cube manager, and in the referee and management rooms. 7. T he document Procedure for Serious Incidents must be available to all persons in the match organisation. 8. B efore the public entrances open, the security function must make an assessment of whether the type of match requires a particular specification of severity levels. 9. T he security function must be well acquainted with the document Procedure for Serious Incidents in its entirety. 28.3 Procedure during an ice hockey match The control room directs and allocates the work and logistics between the security organisation, key functions in the match organisation, broadcasting TV companies, the referees, the sport and other stakeholders considered important for the procedure. In the event of an incident in accordance with this document, the following applies: 1. Temporarily suspend the match/Prevent match start Note the time stamp: 1.1 In the event that the referees NOTICE the incident, they temporarily suspend the match/do not start the match. 1.2 If the referees DO NOT NOTICE the incident, the match is temporarily interrupted/prevented from starting by the security function. This is done by calling the secretariat, which in turn draws the referees’ attention at a natural stoppage in play (penalty, icing etc.). 2. Make announcement, display image 2.1 The nature of the incident determines which announcement is to be made and which image is to be displayed immediately following point 1 or 2. Relevant individuals are informed about the choice of announcement and image material by the security function. 3. Decide on severity level Severity levels must be continuously evaluated and may be changed as long as the procedure is ongoing. I f the delegate is present/in contact with SIF, the severity level is decided in consultation with the delegate/SIF, and the delegate/SIF has the authority to make the final decision. 3.1 In the event of a less serious incident, all participants remain on the ice and the match resumes if possible after points 4–6 have been carried out. 3.2 In the event of a serious incident, all participants leave the ice and the match resumes if possible after points 4–6 have been carried out. 3.3 In the event of a very serious incident, all participants leave the ice and the procedure for a match meeting comes into effect. 4.
