207 RULE 67 – HANDLING THE PUCK • A goalkeeper who throws the puck forward towards the opponent’s net should be assessed a minor penalty. This applies both in Sweden and internationally. In Sweden, there is an interpretation that forward towards the opponent’s net means an imaginary line drawn from the posts up the rink towards the face-off spots. If the puck is thrown within this triangle, it is considered to have been thrown forward. RULE 77 – GAME AND INTERMISSION TIMING • I f any unusual delay occurs within 5 minutes of the end of the first or second periods, the Referee may order the next regular intermission to be taken immediately.
